Sound Control Technologies RCR-SD3 Recessed Wall Mount for Sony EVI-HD3/HD7

Product Overview

The Sound Control Technologies RCR-SD3 is a recessed wall mount for Sony EVI-HD3 and EVI-HD7 cameras, recessing the PTZ camera into the wall for a flush, finished installation in conference rooms and production spaces. As part of the SCT RCR Series of in-wall camera mounts, it pairs a wall backbox with a base shelf contoured to the EVI camera base. It serves installed-base Sony EVI rooms where the camera should sit flush with the wall rather than on a surface bracket.

Product Description

Sony EVI-HD3 and EVI-HD7 PTZ cameras remain in service across conference rooms, training rooms, and broadcast support spaces. The RCR-SD3 recesses the camera into the wall cavity: the backbox installs between studs, the camera seats on a shelf matched to its base, and video, control, and power cabling terminate inside the enclosure with no visible wiring. The camera sits at the correct presentation height behind a clean wall line, protected from incidental contact in busy commercial meeting spaces. The mount works with SCT camera extension solutions, allowing video, RS-232 control, and power to travel over a single CAT cable to a remote equipment rack. Per the vendor, ADA protrusion compliance is unlikely due to the depth of cameras in this category; verify wall depth and code requirements during design. Finish options are denoted by the SKU suffix. Note this is a legacy RCR Series model matched to the EVI-HD3/HD7; for current Sony SRG-series cameras (SRG-A12, SRG-A40, SRG-120DH, SRG-X40UH, SRG-300H), specify the universal RCR-UNI round-base mount.
