Extron DTP3 R 201 D 4K/60 HDMI DTP3 Decorator-Style Wallplate Receiver, White

Product Overview

DTP3 R 201 D (White), part number 60-2072-53. The Extron DTP3 R 201 D is a single-gang decorator-style digital twisted pair receiver that works with Extron DTP3-enabled products to extend HDMI with embedded audio, power, and bidirectional RS-232 signals up to 330 feet (100 meters) over a shielded CAT 6A cable.

Product Description

The display end of a twisted pair run is usually the harder half to make look right. The receiver has to sit close to the screen, often inside millwork or a wall cavity, and anything that needs its own power supply turns into a coordination problem with the electrician.

The DTP3 R 201 D solves both. It is a single-gang decorator-style device, so it drops into the same opening as the electrical devices already specified for the wall or furniture, and it draws remote power from the DTP3 product at the other end of the run. No outlet is needed at the display position.

Signal handling covers HDMI 2.0b with HDCP 2.3 at data rates up to 18 Gbps. Resolution support reaches 4K/60 and 5K, including ultra-wide formats such as 5120×1440 at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma and 8-bit color. HDR, Deep Color up to 12-bit, 3D, HD lossless audio formats, and CEC all pass through, so the display negotiates with the source as if it were directly connected.

Bidirectional RS-232 travels with the video, which means display control reaches the screen on the same cable and one run serves the whole connection. Black and white finishes are available to match surrounding devices. Pair it with the DTP3 T 101 D wallplate transmitter for a matched decorator-style pair at both ends.

This listing is the DTP3 R 201 D configuration, part number 60-2072-53: White. Every part number in the DTP3 R 201 D family shares the same signal architecture and enclosure; the configuration determines which processing, control, and collaboration features ship in the unit.

Creation Networks supplies the full DTP3 R 201 D range, so a design can be quoted across configurations before the specification is locked. Contact us for project pricing and current lead time.

Frequently Asked Questions

What transmitter pairs with the DTP3 R 201 D?

Any Extron DTP3-enabled transmitter or DTP3-equipped switcher. It is commonly paired with the DTP3 T 101 D wallplate transmitter for a matched decorator-style pair at both ends of the run.

Does it need a local power supply?

No. It takes remote power from the connected DTP3 product, so no outlet is required at the display position. That is often the deciding factor behind a display or in millwork.

What cable is required?

Shielded CAT 6A terminated to the shielded standard end to end for the full 330 feet (100 meters). Unshielded cable will reduce distance and can cause errors at 4K rates.

Will it fit a standard decorator opening?

Yes, it is a single-gang decorator-style device sized for standard openings, which simplifies coordination with the electrical contractor and furniture vendor.

What is the difference between the black and white versions?

Finish only. 60-2072-52 is black and 60-2072-53 is white; they are functionally identical.

Does it pass display control?

Yes. Bidirectional RS-232 travels with the video, so a control system can reach the display without a separate control run.

What warranty applies?

Extron provides a manufacturer warranty, and Creation Networks coordinates warranty and RMA handling for equipment purchased through us.
