ViewSonic VX2738-2K-OLED 27-Inch QHD OLED 165Hz Gaming Monitor

Product Overview

The ViewSonic VX2738-2K-OLED is a 27-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor with a 2560×1440 resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, and 0.03ms GtG response time suited for high-performance PC gaming stations, esports training facilities, and AV integrators deploying premium display hardware. Quantum Dot OLED technology delivers true 10-bit color depth, 150,000:1 static contrast ratio, and deep blacks from a self-luminous panel with no backlight, producing higher color volume and accuracy than standard OLED panels. NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium support eliminate screen tearing across a broad range of connected systems.

Product Description

The VX2738-2K-OLED uses Quantum Dot OLED (QD-OLED) technology, in which a self-luminous blue OLED light source excites a quantum dot layer to generate precise colors delivering higher brightness and wider color volume than conventional OLED while retaining infinite contrast and instantaneous pixel response. The panel produces 1.07 billion colors at true 10-bit depth with HDR10 support, making it appropriate for color-sensitive applications beyond gaming including video monitoring and post-production review. At 240Hz with a 0.03ms GtG response time, motion blur and ghosting are effectively eliminated. HDMI 2.1 x2 and DisplayPort x2 provide simultaneous connections to multiple sources PCs via DisplayPort and consoles via HDMI 2.1, with fast input switching. The ergonomic stand adjusts 130mm in height, swivels 45, pivots 90, and tilts 5/20 with built-in cable management. ViewSonic burn-in prevention technology includes PXL Orbit pixel movement, periodic break prompts, and Static Screen Detection that automatically dims the display when idle. The VX2738-2K-OLED carries cTUVus, FCC-B, and CEC certifications and is backed by a 3-year limited warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the difference between QD-OLED and standard OLED?
A: Standard OLED uses a white OLED backlight with color filters. QD-OLED uses a blue OLED light source that excites quantum dots to generate colors directly, producing higher brightness, wider color volume, and better color accuracy while retaining the infinite contrast and fast response of OLED technology.

Q: Does the VX2738-2K-OLED support 4K resolution?
A: No. The native resolution is 2560×1440 (WQHD/1440p). It does not support 4K UHD output.

Q: How does burn-in prevention work?
A: ViewSonics burn-in prevention uses PXL Orbit technology (subtle pixel movement), periodic break notification prompts, and Static Screen Detection that automatically dims the display when a static image is detected for extended periods.

Q: Is HDMI 2.1 bandwidth required to reach 240Hz?
A: At 2560×1440 and 240Hz, DisplayPort is recommended for maximum bandwidth. HDMI 2.1 supports up to 240Hz at this resolution per the spec sheet frequency ranges.

Q: What adaptive sync standards are supported?
A: NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium are both supported, covering the major GPU platforms.

Q: Can this monitor be wall-mounted?
A: Yes. VESA 100x100mm mounting is supported. The stand can be removed for arm or wall mount installation.
